Dungeon Crawl Board

This board went together surprisingly fast, its all made from 3/4" insulation foam. The main 2'x2' board has indentations marking every square inch, each wall is about 1" tall and 3" long with random indentations to make the walls look like brickwork. We had a small assembly line going and got all of the work done within a day. With some objectives made and everything painted up, we got a game started.

We made about 8' worth of wall sections
Starting area for our adventurers
First encounter with an undead enemy
I made small terrain bits as we moved into different rooms
Dead end in the Manors yard, lots of bodies, nothing of interest
We decided that opening the kitchen was a bad idea as enemies continuously flooded out
We finally made our way into the kitchen and killed the Lord of the Manors zombie, it wasn't easy
We took a short break and made 2 extra 1'x1' boards, this one has planters and statue plinths
We moved through the rest of the 1st floor of the Manor and cleared it of some terrible monstrosities

The last shot is what the board looked like at the end of the session, we had explored the first floor of the Manor and were ready to continue to the 2nd. I greatly look forward to continuing this story soon. I'm also in the midst of working on some Sci-fi terrain that is similar with walls and such.

I'm still alive! I just got out of the habit of posting anything. So to make up for lost time I'm gonna post pictures of different projects and minis I've been working on. Everything in this is 15mm scale. Some things you see in these pictures will be featured in their own posts soon!

Dwarf painted for Dungeon Crawl

The following are from a Dungeon Crawl game on a board with walls, doors, furniture made by me and a couple friends in a day. Aaron Reynolds over at Skies of Flies ran us through part one of an excellent game using some rules we found, Cavern Crawl. After we started using the rules it was great fun and easy to modify to our needs. Here are a few shots.

Excellent! Now that everyone is caught up, I can start with a few articles on some of the specific projects. There will definitely be one on the Dungeon Crawl stuff that's been done and is still being worked on.
If you see something in one of the pics you want to know more about, let me know in the comments!

Quick DeathRace Update

Its been too long since i posted something about this, or anything for that matter, but I finished the cosmetics on Sgt. Starr's Maggie, and started working on another vehicle. I'm being told I should call it Libyan Dawn, but well see how that works out. I don't think this one will have so much body work to do and will get knocked out a little quicker than Maggie.

I need to keep on these and get a few more built then roll some dice with them, as well as make some cool terrain bits and obstacles one might have to deal with in the apocalyptic, car combat filled, future.

Space Raptors

After a very long wait, the Chuhuac from Loud Ninja Games  finally arrived this week. They are very different from the majority of the 15mm aliens out there, especially as they have most of the types of units you might be looking for: infantry, fast attack, heavy weapons, transport vehicle, mechs, and even some 28mm infantry. They are some very detailed and cool looking models, and I hope to see these guys continue making some very unique minis that we just haven't seen yet.

Drone teams and commander in back, drones are hiding off screen

Overall shot of what I've put on bases, this is about 2/3 of the whole force

Assembling the future heavy support for the Chuhuac
(being supported while the green stuff settles him onto his base)

I feel that I should point out the T-Rex. He is not part of the Chuhuac I received, but I have had him for a few months in anticipation of the Chuhuac to act as a mobile heavy weapons platform, or an assault unit. He will take a lot of work, but I'm hoping he will look bad ass by the time I'm done.

Chem-War Soldiers

I had some Arab/PLO militia from Peter Pigs AK47 range sitting around for awhile. At the time i had wanted to put gas masks on them and get them painted, but it just never happened, I stumbled across them this past weekend while he was over and got to talking about them, and about 45 min later everyone had gas masks.

As you can see, I managed to get one of them painted. I really like the way he came out. They are remarkably creepy looking adorned with their new masks, I like it. I look forward to finishing them by the end of the week, and hopefully some more Death Race should pop up soon as well, including some recent purchases to fill in the field and bring some variety.
